Devour Week Feb 17 -24

Every year Phoenix celebrates its culinary heritage and rich cuisines through a week-long event called Devour Week. This is followed by Devour Culinary Classic. It goes on the whole weekend and brings together restaurant participants from all over Arizona to show their food skills. Here at Aioli Burgers we always look forward to this annual event with eagerness and anticipation. This year would be our 4th participation. In 2016 we won an award for our dish Italiano Slider. So we are really hyped about it and we look forward to seeing you there.

Devour Week: A Culinary Event for the Whole Region

Devour Culinary Classic is more than just another food event. The prestigious award-winning event has been lauded by the New York Times as the Best Southwestern Culinary Festival. In 2010, the event won Critic’s Choice for Culinary Events award. And because this is more than just a culinary event, the proceeds from both Devour Week and Devour Culinary Classic go to help local charities such as Local First Arizona, Desert Botanical Garden, and Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance. So by taking part in the event, you’re actually helping non-profit organizations.

Devour The World

One of the great things about Devour Culinary Classic is that it brings together all the leaders of the food and beverage business in one place. And the food goes beyond Arizona and even the nation as a whole. Here at the Japanese Friendship Garden in downtown Phoenix, you can sample all your favorite flavors from cuisines that come for all over the world and even try new ones. The event takes place on Thursday, February 21st between 6 and 9 pm. Some of the highlights of the event include Flavors of Louisiana, Satay Hut, Squid Ink Sushi, El Chullo, Latin Kitchen Mesa and many others. 

Devour Bartending Competition

Since food and drink go together, the idea of a bartending competition seemed like a great idea where people can enjoy a drink while sampling the food. This event takes place at Portland Parkway Park where bartenders get together to celebrate the local cocktail culture. The competition starts with bartenders using the locally distilled spirits try to come up with a great cocktail to impress a panel of celebrity judges. As usual, a winner will be declared by the end of the event even though we have a feeling everyone is a winner. You get to sip your drink and root for your favorite bartender.
